Arrupe Jesuit is founded on the belief that every child who comes to us is created in the image and likeness of God, and as such is deserving of the very best we can offer them. Our families, too, have that great desire for their children and willingly undertake the sacrifices it often takes to send their children to us. Our faculty and staff are committed to giving them the best opportunities to grow in knowledge, to grow in their faith and to grow as healthy human beings both in school and the workplace.
To that end, one of the biggest highlights of the 2016-2017 academic year was the establishment of our Academic Support program to help us make good on this commitment. Led by Assistant Principal for Academic Support, Fr. John Nugent, SJ, this program focuses on Freshmen & Sophomores who are facing challenges in the classroom by providing early intervention and resources critical for their success. We know that if a student can persist to their Junior year, the likelihood is strong that they will graduate on-time and with college-acceptance letters in hand. From “How to Set Up Your Planner” workshops to Learning Ally software to Study Halls and Saturday School, this program is aimed at empowering each student to find academic success.
