Arrupe Jesuit High School and Regis University Embark on Year Two of Transformative Dual Enrollment Entrepreneurship Course

Arrupe Jesuit High School is excited to announce the commencement of the second year of its groundbreaking dual enrollment Innovation and Entrepreneurship course. This unique program, offered in partnership with Regis University's Innovation Center and supported by the Anderson College of Business and Computing, presents an unparalleled opportunity for Arrupe Jesuit seniors to earn college credit while delving into the world of entrepreneurship.

Building on the success of the inaugural year, this visionary course aims to equip first-generation high school and college graduates with essential entrepreneurial skills that will help shape their career development. Students will embark on a journey to create their own startup businesses from scratch, culminating in a final pitch event scheduled for April 23rd at Regis University. This event, attended by business leaders and the Arrupe and Regis community, will showcase the students' innovative ideas and strategic business plans.  One Arrupe Jesuit student business will be selected to participate in the Regis University Innovation Challenge, which will be held on May 3rd.

Michael O’Hagan, President of Arrupe Jesuit High School, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership stating: "We are thrilled to partner with Regis University to offer this unique opportunity to our students. Entrepreneurship is an essential skill for success in today’s economy, and we are excited to see our students gain valuable experience through this class. The opportunity to showcase their ideas and skills at the annual Innovation Challenge has quickly become a highlight of our Spring Semester."

The course is taught by faculty members from Regis University, supplemented by guidance and support from business and community leaders. A panel of business leaders will evaluate each start-up pitch presentation and the viability of the business.

This transformative Entrepreneurial Innovation class is open to all Arrupe Jesuit students, regardless of their intended major, reaffirming the commitment to providing students with hands-on, forward-thinking education. The partnership between Arrupe Jesuit and Regis University continues to break new ground, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving professional landscape.
