The Daniels Fund announced its 2024 class of Daniels Scholarship Program recipients. Arrupe Jesuit High School is proud and excited to announce that 5 of our seniors have been awarded the Daniels Scholarship, making Arrupe Jesuit the school with the second most recipients from a single institution. Overall, 209 high school seniors across the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming were selected as 2024 Daniels Scholars, including 144 students from Colorado.
The Daniels Scholarship Program provides a four-year undergraduate education at any accredited college or university in the United States and is reserved for students from Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Congratulations to Isaac Esquivel Ceballos, Julissa Fernandez, Zafiro Portillo, Kamila Ruiz, and Valerie Antunez on your accomplishments.
Selection for the Daniels Scholarship is based on various criteria, including the applicant's character, leadership potential, commitment to community service, and academic excellence. As the embodiment of Bill Daniels' values, the scholars carry forward his legacy as the founder of the Daniels Fund.
As shared in the Daniels Fund press release, Hanna Skandera, the president & CEO of the Daniels Fund, expressed enthusiasm for supporting these exceptional individuals in pursuing their educational goals, recognizing them as the future leaders whose accomplishments will make a significant impact.
This year's announcement marks a milestone, with over 5,000 students having received the Daniels Scholarship since its inception. Currently, nearly 1,000 Daniels Scholars are enrolled in approximately 200 colleges and universities across the country. Since 2000, the Daniels Scholarship Program has awarded over $260 million in scholarships.
Highly motivated high school seniors graduating in 2025 are encouraged to apply for the Daniels Scholarship Program online at DanielsFund.org starting this September. It presents a remarkable opportunity for deserving students to access quality education and make significant contributions to their communities and beyond. Once again, Congratulations to the Arrupe Jesuit High School Daniels Scholars!
