Lesly went above and beyond the call of duty and truly saved the day. Lesly agreed to support our team at a Saturday community event as a make up work day. Our original intent was for Lesly to greet community members as they arrived and to take notes during a breakout session. The event attendees were more than 100 members of the Denver/Aurora refugee community. We had promised the community that child care would be available, but our child care provider did not show up. More than 20 children under the age of 10 accompanied their parents to this important meeting. Lesly stepped in and agreed to keep the children safe and entertained during the nearly three hour meeting. Lesly truly saved the day and made it possible for some of the region's most vulnerable residents to take part in important discussions about housing and their neighborhood. Lesly had a terrific attitude, unending patience and showed the grace and professionalism that makes her such a valued member of the BBC team.
